Diana Kay Loveless, 77, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
She was born March 28, 1946, in Whitman, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late John S. and Lettie Virginia Mays Loveless. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine, Gladys and Joan, and two brothers, Lonzo and Johnny.
Diana will truly be missed by her two sisters, Sue Kempsell and husband Bob of Bel Air, Maryland, and Priscilla Hanvelt of Whittier, California. “Aunt Kay” also leaves a number of loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and dear friends across America to cherish her memory.
She attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and graduated from Medical College of Virginia in Richmond in 1968. She enjoyed a gratifying career in the medical field and retired after nearly thirty years of service at St. Claire HealthCare as a physical therapist.
A lifelong learner and curious person, Diana was an avid reader and world traveler. She especially enjoyed exploring other countries and cultures with her sisters. For those who had the privilege of knowing Diana, most will remember her as she described herself: "I'm too old to be young and too young to be old." She challenged herself and others to enjoy each day to the fullest.
A memorial service celebrating Diana’s life will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Aryn Meritt officiating. Diana will be laid to rest with family at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Henlawson, West Virginia, at a later date.
