Delphia (Chaney) Adkins

Delphia Chaney Adkins, age 89, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at UK-King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born January 1, 1937, in Wayne County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Chaney and Lillie Dyer Chaney. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deloyce Adkins; one brother, Newman Chaney; and two sisters, Goldie Adkins and Hazel Chaney.

Mrs. Adkins is survived by her son, Jeff Adkins and wife Dana of Ukiah, California, two grandchildren, Liliana Adkins and Isaac Adkins, as well as other extended family members.

She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Delphia enjoyed going shopping and spending time with family.

At her request, there will be no visitation and a private burial at Bowen Chapel Cemetery.
