Debra Alfrey Obituary

 

Debra Darlene Alfrey, age 57, of Derby Drive, Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at St. Joseph Main in Lexington.

 

Born July 12, 1964, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Linda Dare Ginter Alfrey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron “Peanut” Alfrey and a sister-in-law, Regina Alfrey.

 

Ms. Alfrey is survived by three brothers, Rick Alfrey, Donnie (Billie Ann) Alfrey, and Tim (Tina) Alfrey; one sister, Mary (Tony) Blevins of Mt. Sterling; 17 nieces and nephews, Linda (Brad) Mitchell, Nicki Alfrey, Talisha Alfrey, Kimberly (JD) Hudson, Dakota (Baylee) Blevins, Lindsey (Trevor) Hiler, Tracey (Jeremy) Payton, Leon (Chasity) Jarman, Sierra Alfrey, Jeremy Coldiron, Jordon Kelly, Allison Kelly, Glenna Alfrey, Carson Blevins, Skyler Blevins, Johnny Coldiron, and Jimmy Coldiron; and 18 great nieces and nephews, Aaron and Gina Carmichael, Elliot and Sawyer Hudson, Carter and Brooklyn Blevins, Lily and Dalton Moyers, Cameron, Bella, and Carsen Jarman, Haley Sherlin, Morgan Vice, Rhaeleigh Cook, Lincoln and Landyn Kelly, and Linville and James Smith ; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.

 

She retired from Montgomery County School System in Mt. Sterling and was a member of the First Church of God. Ms. Alfrey adored her nieces and nephews and loved them with all of her heart.  She will be greatly missed and always remembered with love.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a. m. Saturday November 27, 2021, at Living Water Church, 200 Fogg Pike, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353 with Jeff Perkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers:  Dakota Blevins, Lindsey Hiler, Kimberly Hudson, Aaron Carmichael, Jeremy Coldiron, Jordan Kelly, Talisha Alfrey, and Leon Jarman

 

Honorary pallbearers: Cameron Jarman, Johnny Coldiron, Jimmy Coldiron, Gina Carmichael, Lily Moyers, Skyler Blevins, Rhaeleigh Cook, Tracey Payton, Allison Kelly, Carson Blevins, Haley Sherlin, Dalton Moyers, and Morgan Vice.

 

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021, at Living Water Church.
