Deborah "Debbie" Jean (Hamm) Manning

Deborah (Debbie) Jean Hamm Manning, 58, of Hillsboro, passed away on July 19, 2021, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, after battling a long fight of cancer.

Born on November 30, 1962, in Louisville, and raised in Morehead, she was the daughter of Beulah (Hamm) Holbrook and Ernest Holbrook and the late Billy Lowe.

In addition to one of her fathers, Debbie was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest (Bubby) Holbrook Jr and Donald Edward Holbrook; two maternal grandparents, Oscar Levi Weldon Hamm and Darcus Virginia McKenzie Hamm; four paternal grandparents, Mary and Louie Holbrook, and Clayton and Opal Lowe; three aunts, Eula (Hamm) Crisp, Geneva Hamm, and Lynda (Hamm) Bates and three uncles, Arnold, Howard, and Charles Hamm.

In addition to her mother and one of her fathers, Debbie is survived by one son, Joseph “Joey” Beamon (Amanda); one daughter Casie Ratliff (Harvey); five grandchildren, Jared and Natally Beamon and Ryan, Eisac and Jayla Ratliff; ex-husband and close friend, Barry Manning, all of Hillsboro, close friend of many years, Jamey Dixon, of Raceland and a special nephew who was more like her son, Corey Hurst of Morehead.

Other survivors include two sisters, Lisa Stewart of Morehead, and Sharon Williams (Bill) of Frenchburg; one brother, James Holbrook (Kristen) of Morehead; one aunt, Betty (Hamm) Day (Phil Sr.), of Morehead; two uncles, David Hamm (Jennifer), of Owingsville, and Oscar Hamm Jr (Sheila) of Nicholasville.; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Debbie was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting and gardening, but more than anything, spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Jared Beamon, James Holbrook, Corey Hurst, Brian Gallagher, Ryan Ratliff, and Phil Day, Sr.   Honorary pallbearers:  Joey Beamon, Barry Manning, Clarence Gallagher, Chase Whisman, Jason Davis, Tyler Davis, and James Dixon.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all contributions be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
