Darrell Black Obituary

Darrell C. Black, age 70, of West Lane, Morehead, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville.

Born July 20, 1948, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Curtis and Elsie Gregory Black. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Dean Black, and one nephew, Michael Lee Herron.

Darrell is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Black and Wendy of Marinette, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Samantha Nichols Thick, Aaron Phillip Black, Heather Black Lee and Megan Deanna Perry; 5 great grandchildren; his wife, Reva Miller Black; three sisters, Carol Charles and Winford of Clearfield, Sharon Lowe of Morehead, and Linda Mains of Florence; two nieces, Amy Marie Meade of Clearfield and Sherry Renee Lykins of Morehead; 1 nephew, Caleb Craft of Florence; extended family and friends.

Darrell was a former employee of Fleming Mason RECC and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Private services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Little Mary Cemetery.
