Barnie Daniel “Danny” Kinder, age 79, of Cranston Road, Morehead, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with his loving wife Lucille on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead with his loving family by his side.
Born November 30, 1942, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Robert and Beatrice Fraley Kinder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd Kinder, Harrison Kinder, George Kinder, and Bobby Kinder, and four sisters, Alta McCleese, Tansy Gulley, Laura Jane Cooper, and Louise Estep.
Danny’s devoted wife of 45 years, Lucille Little Kinder, whom he married March 26, 1966, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2011.
Danny is survived by three daughters, Tina (Bob) McClain of Morehead, Michele Kinder of Morehead, and Denise (Kevin) Rayburn of Olive Hill; five grandchildren, Austin McClain, Cody (Abby) Mason, Kaleb Rayburn, Jasmine Rayburn, and Shasta Rayburn. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, extended family, including his church family, and many friends.
Danny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. A long-time carpenter, he had worked for Cleveland Construction, Judy Construction, and Little’s Building and Remodeling. Known as a hard worker, he was also a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors, yard sales, fishing, and going to church. He was a member and deacon at Rock Fork Christian Church. His greatest desire was to encourage everyone he met to accept the Lord into their lives. Danny will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Butch Kelsey and Brother Jack Gulley officiating
Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery on Kinder Branch. Pallbearers, Cody Mason, Austin McClain, Kaleb Rayburn, Jack Gulley, Harry Gulley and Vincent Plank.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
