Cynthia “Cindy” Renee Rivers, age 57, of Dean Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at her home.
Born December 25, 1964, in Morehead, she was preceded her in death by her mother, Shirley Withrow Smith, and a brother, Jeff Rivers.
She is survived by her son, Kyler Rivers of Nicholasville; her stepfather, Lester Smith of Haldeman; one sister, Veronica Hinton of Olive Hill; three brothers, James Rivers and Freida of Olive Hill, Bobby Rivers and Cindy of Olive Hill, and Michael Smith and Martha of Morehead, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Cindy graduated from Rowan County High School, attended Morehead State University, and worked as a quality specialist at Summit Polymers in Mt. Sterling for a number of years. She loved the outdoors and was a craftsman who found great enjoyment constructing buildings or fixing anything outside. She had all types of tools – and the perfect tool for every job. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed and always remembered.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Cemetery on Seas Branch.
Pallbearers will be Mason Rivers, Ronnie Rivers, Tyrone, Noble, Kyler Rivers, Phillip Hinton, and Michael Smith.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
