Cora "P-Nut" (Young) Stacy

Cora "P-Nut" Young Stacy, age 91, of Mallie, KY, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Edgewood Estates

in Frenchburg, KY.

She was born at Pine Top, KY on May 21, 1933, to Lafayette Young and Wana Hammonds Young.

She graduated from Carr Creek High School and Caney Junior College.

She taught school briefly, then worked for Martin's Department Store, Whitesburg ARH Hospital and Mountain

Comprehensive Health Corporation. She loved her time as a foster grandparent in the Save the Children Program at

Carr Creek Elementary, and she considered everyone at the school family.

P'Nut was a member of Cody Bible Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Secretary, Treasurer and

member of the choir.

Son - Randy Stacy

Grandsons - Brad Stacy and Wife - Sarah and

Jared Stacy

Great Granddaughters - Joanna Mae Stacy and Julia Marie Stacy

Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins

Special Friends - Mary Sue Couch, Michelle Amburgey,

Phyllis Bowen, Norma Gibson and Rhonda Copher

Preceded in death by Parents - Lafayette and Wana Hammonds Young

Husband - Harvey Lee Stacy

Sister - Voline Stamper

Brothers - Deanville Young, Roger Young and Lafayette Young, Jr.

Funeral services for Cora "P-Nut" Young Stacy will be held at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Friday, December

20, 2024 at 1:00PM with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Carr Fork Memorial at Litt Carr, KY.

Visitation will be held at the Chapel Friday from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: The Gideons or Bethel Baptist Church at Frenchburg, KY.
