Cobern Lee Kegley, Jr., age 63, of Saline, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Born October 28, 1961, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Cobern Lee Kegley, Sr., and Sarah Jane Middleton Kegley.
Junior is survived by his wife, Nancy Kemp Kegley; one son, Daniel Kegley of Saline, Michigan; one brother, Ricky Allen Kegley and Cris of Olive Hill; one sister, Wanda Jean Bossio and George of Olive Hill; one brother-in-law, Kenny Kemp and Lisa of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Sharon Kemp of Burlison, Tennessee; nine nieces and nephews, Carl Bossio, Brandon Kegley, Sarah Jones, Cassandra Simpson, Allison Kemp, Angela Kemp, Kenneth Kemp, Draven Kemp, and Maleia Kemp; several great nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends, including Bob Baum of Belleville, Michigan, and Herman Conn of Olive Hill.
He was a self-employed welder/fabricator and enjoyed mushroom hunting, watching old movies, and listening to music—everything from Johnny Cash, Alabama, to Rock and Roll. Junior will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with family and friends officiating. The service will be live streamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mabry-Kegley Cemetery on Beartown Ridge.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
