Carl Richard Carter

Carl Richard Carter, age 62, of US 60 East, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Born October 1, 1962, in Morehead, he was a son of the late Carl E. Carter and Dollie Fultz Carter Maze. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two nieces and a nephew.

Richard is survived by his wife of nine years, Trevia Christine Calton Carter, whom he married June 4, 2015; three sons, Carl Dewayne Carter of Olive Hill, Clayton David Carter of Harrodsburg, and Cameron Dalton Carter of Morehead; two daughters, Misty Jane Bray (Nathaniel) of Salvisa and Mary Catherine Wilson (Austin) of Clearfield; and one grandson, Foster Bray.

Other survivors include one brother, Calvin Carter of Fleming County, a half-brother, Chris Carter of Olive Hill; a half-sister sister, Rebecca Gregory of Parkers Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a former employee of Fast Change Oil and Harvey’s Auto Parts.  Richard loved to hunt and fish and always enjoyed playing and taking care of his fur babies, Mukia and Daisy.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Hamm officiating. 

Private burial will follow at the Bailey Cemetery on Glenwood Hollow. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
