Carin Ruth (Bolen) Estep

Carin Ruth Estep, age 49, of Cross Keys Road, Lexington, formerly of Morehead, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Born September 19, 1976, in Marion, Illinois, she is the daughter of Bill and Janice Adkinson Bolen of Morehead.

In addition to her parents, Carin is survived by six children: Desiree Bolen (Mercedes Osborne) of Lexington; Gregory Brakke of Morehead, Kentucky; William Brakke of Opelika, Alabama; Raelyn Brakke of Moreauville, Louisiana; Emmalee Estep of Grayson, Kentucky; and Ashleigh Estep of Morehead, Kentucky. She also leaves behind one cherished granddaughter, Isabella Brakke.

Other survivors include three brothers, Cliff Bain of Mission, Texas, Jeremy Bolen of Leland, Illinois, and Travis Bolen of Greenville, North Carolina; three sisters, Brenda Morgan of Calvert City, Kentucky, Brandi Fields of Louisa, Kentucky, and Jennifer Lee of DeKalb, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Carin was preceded in death by one sister, Tosha Bolen-Murphy.

A former registered nurse, Carin cared for many during her time at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead and Baptist Health in Lexington. She had a deep love for art, enjoyed painting, and was learning to crochet. Carin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
