Bronson Rae Black, age 84, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Elliott County Nursing and Rehab Center in Sandy Hook.
He was born March 27, 1940, in West Virginia and was the only child of the late Carl Black and Mabel Waddell Black. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tara Rae Black.
Bronson is survived by his wife, Linda Wells Black; one daughter, Shari Black Hamilton and husband Leon of Morehead; two stepsons, Micheal Ramey of West Liberty and Paul Ramey and wife Angie of Olive Hill; three grandchildren, Chase Ramey, Laken Cornett and husband Jordan, and Gregory Porter and wife Heather; four great grandchildren, Cooper, Brody, and Adley Cornett and Eian Porter; and many friends.
He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Soldier Church of God. He enjoyed trading cattle and horses and spending time with family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Clifford “Tippy” Price officiating. Burial will follow in Waddell-Gilliam Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Paul Ramey, Chase Ramey, Cody Hafer, Micheal Ramey, Greg Porter, and Gene McCarty.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
