Bonnie Sue (Jones) Wagoner Denton

Bonnie Sue Jones Wagoner Denton, age 73, of Jones Ridge, Clearfield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at UK–St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born January 6, 1953, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Jones and Virgie Perkins Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, infant Garold Jones, Darrell Jones, and Harold Jones; and one sister-in-law, Linda Jones.

Bonnie is survived by one brother, Carl (Sue) Jones of Clearfield; one sister, Martha (Donald) Thornsberry of Morehead; her companion and caregiver, Ronnie Wagoner of Clearfield.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Tony (Sherri) Jones, Carl Jones, Jr., Jennifer (Dave) Jones, Earnest Wallace, Jr., Sharon Wallace, and Kathy (Clyde) Clevenger; a special great-nephew, Terry (Chelsea) Whitt, Jr., along with other extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Bonnie faithfully served her community as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service at the Clearfield and Morehead Post Offices for more than 20 years. She was of the Christian faith and was saved on August 11, 2025.

She enjoyed gardening, family gatherings for holidays and birthdays, and spending time with her beloved dogs, especially Muffy.

Bonnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge, Clearfield.

Pallbearers: Carl Jones, Jr., David Tesso, Earnest Wallace, Jr., Chris Sapp, Austin Carter, and Terry Whitt, Jr.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
