Bobby Gene Kegley, age 76, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at his residence.
He was born October 6, 1943, in Carter County, and was a son of the late Noah and Della Crose Kegley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Kegley, on March 11, 2015, and five sisters, Verna Adkins, Hester Hall, Edith Tipton, Eula Hall, and Dorothy DeBorde.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara “Barb” Lewis Kegley, whom he married January 31, 1967; one daughter, Pamela Kegley Warren and husband Mark; two granddaughters, Ashley Warren Archer and husband Travis and Kristie Warren Sloan, all of Morehead; two great grandsons, Austin Maggard and Houston Archer; and two great daughters, Bristol and Bailee Sloan.
Also surviving are two brothers, Carl Ray Kegley of Dayton, Ohio, and Donnie Kegley of Morehead; one sister, Mary Rose Reedy of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.
Bobby retired from Sealmaster in 1990 and attended Better Life Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with his friends, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Bobby also loved his brothers and sisters-in-laws and spending time with them at cookouts and family outings.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private family service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Harold Ashcraft and Scott Napier officiating. Private burial will follow at Ditney Cemetery.
