Betty Jean Pelfrey Reynolds, age 84, of Wright Road, Salt Lick, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020, at U.K. HealthCare in Lexington.
Born December 29, 1935, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Elijah Pelfrey and Zonie Shelton Pelfrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Tott Reynolds, who passed away April 11, 2004; two daughters, Jane Reynolds and Mary Aileen Reynolds Purnell; one grandson; Michael Romans; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Willis Pelfrey.
Betty is survived by five daughters: Dottie Romans and Debbie Reynolds, both of Salt Lick, Donna (Glen) Moore, Joy (David) Shy, and Barbara (Junior) Romans, all of Farmers; one stepdaughter, Shirley Gollihue of New Castle, Indiana; two brothers, Charlie Pelfrey of Catawba, Ohio; one sister, Jenny Stump of Memphis, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a homemaker, an employee of Cowden Mfg. for 23 years, and a member of Lakeview Community Church. She enjoyed watching birds and squirrels, gardening, cooking, sewing, attending church activities and spending time with her beloved family and church family. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Lakeview Community Church, 581 Cave Run Lake Road, Salt Lick, KY 40371 with the Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in Carey Cemetery.

Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
