She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Phillip Valentine, whom she married October 14, 1995; four sons, Sebastian Valentine of Hillsboro, Hanford Thoroughman and Nick Slone, both of Campton, and Zach Farris of Hillsboro; five daughters, Sierra Valentine and Lexus Valentine, both of Campton, Jayda Farris and Kayda Farris, both of Hillsboro, and Mary Jo Costilla of Wauseon, Ohio; and ten grandchildren, Aubrey, Chancellor, Brentlee, Dailee, Roxianna, Waylon, Sophie, Hunter, Everleigh, and Remington.
Also surviving are four brothers, Roger Dean Mosley, Jr., Timmy Plank, and Kenneth Flinders, all of Garrison, and Matthew Stone of Lexington; four sisters, Brandi Stone of Lexington, Stephanie Mosley and Angela Mosley, both of Garrison, and Michelle Roe of Portsmouth, Ohio; along with many nieces and nephews.
Becky’s greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, pouring out love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her grandkids held a special place in her heart – they lovingly called her “Mammy” a name she wore with pride and delight. She delighted in their giggles, their little hands in hers, and every milestone they reached.
A woman of deep faith, Becky loved God with all her heart. Her trust in him guided her through every season of life, and she often shared that love with those around her. She had a remarkable gift for seeing the brighter side of everything – turning challenges into opportunities for hope, finding silver linings, and lifting others with her gentle optimism.
Becky also found peace and joy in God’s creation. She loved the outdoors whether it was a quite walk in the nature, sitting by a lake, or simply feeling the sun on her face. Those simple moments reminded her of his goodness and brought her a sense of calm and wonder. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, devoted Mammy, a faithful follower of Christ, and someone who chose kindness and positivity every day.
At her request, a celebration will be held at later date.
