Barry Becraft Obituary

 

Barry Dale Becraft, age 55, of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed at his home on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by his family after battling cancer. Barry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

 

He was born April 11, 1967, in Mt. Sterling, KY, and was the son of the late Paul Becraft and Melissa Carter Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Harper Reed.

 

Barry is survived by his wife, Brigitte Horn Becraft; three children, Sascha Horn (Tanja) of Germany, Cassandra Reed (James) of Winchester, KY, and Madison Becraft (Lauren Allen) of Winchester, KY; three grandchildren, James, Lucas, and Mila; two brothers, Kenneth Becraft (Laura) of Lexington, KY, and Brian Becraft (Susan) of Winchester, KY; his step-father, Garland Hall of Jeffersonville, KY, as well as a special niece, Nicole Iverson (John) of Reno, NV.

 

He was a former truck driver for Marathon Oil and Pilot Petroleum. Barry was a U.S. Army veteran of the Gulf War and an active member of Spring Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

 

Barry loved spending time with his family and friends and spent many hours playing golf.  He will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Friday, February 24, 2023, at Spring Street Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers:  Kenneth Becraft, Brian Becraft, Sascha Horn, Randy Stegall, James Reed, and Eddie Carter, Jr.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, February 24, 2023, at Spring Street Baptist Church, 442 Spring Street, Mt. Sterling, KY  40353. 

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
