Austin Tanner Netherly, age 22, of Ringos Mill Road, Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Austin was born March 20, 1999, in Morehead, to Melissa Netherly Martt of Morehead and was raised by his great aunt, Janet Netherly Egan and her husband Steve of Hillsboro, who considered Austin their son.
Other survivors include five brothers, Bradley Netherly of Florida, Kody Netherly of Morehead, Tyler Netherly of Louisville, Waylon Glover and Junior Glover, both of Morehead; maternal grandfather, Joe Eugene Netherly of Morehead; a special cousin he considered a brother, Jacob Egan of North Carolina; Austin’s girlfriend, Ashley Hord of Flemingsburg; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.
Austin graduated from Fleming County High School and was a former employee of Green Tree Forest Products in Wallingford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and especially spending time with family and friends. Austin will be greatly missed and remembered with love.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Deborah Lynn Epperhart Netherly; an uncle, Christopher Dale Epperhart; and maternal great grandparents, Edward “Bill” Epperhart and Betty R. Owens Epperhart.
A celebration of life will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jared DeAtley and Pastor Jack Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Pence Cemetery on Bull Fork Road, Morehead.
Pallbearers: Tyler Netherly, Kody Netherly, Waylon Glover, Junior Glover, Preston Netherly, and Hunter Hamilton.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351
