Audrey Lee Howell Eldridge, age 78, of Clough Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020, at her home.
Born February 16, 1942, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Vergie Lee Erwin Howell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet Hutchinson, Madge Fernandes, and Millie Fultz, and three brothers, Fred, Cliff, and Billy Howell.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 60 years, Estill Eldridge, whom she married July 30, 1960; two sons, Timothy Eldridge and wife Diana of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Brian Eldridge and wife Lisa of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) Morgenthal, Stephanie (Bradley) Reinhart, Steven Eldridge, and April Eldridge; four great grandchildren, Eva Morgenthal, Oliver Morgenthal, Aidan Reinhart, and River Wetzel.
Other survivors include one brother, Bobby Howell of Gas City, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.
Audrey was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed staying home with her sons during their school years and retired from Ethicon Endo Surgery, a division of Johnson & Johnson, in Cincinnati.
She adored her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and looked forward to spending special time with each one. She attended the United Baptist Church.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, private graveside services will be held Wednesday at Eldridge Cemetery, Bullfork Road, Morehead, Kentucky, with Theodore Evans officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Pine Creek Baptist Church., South Webster, Ohio.
