Anne Meade Muncy, age 82, of Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.
Born February 4, 1938, in Millstone, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ballard and Nannie Wright Meade. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jesse, Daniel, Newt, and Junior Meade, and two sisters, Florence Craft and Norma Campbell.
Anne is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Dave Muncy; four children, Wendy Engibous (Tom) of Dallas, Texas, David Newton Muncy (Donna) of Stow, Ohio, Wade Muncy (Jessica), of Morehead, and Jon Muncy of Morehead; seven grandchildren, Mandie, Meagan, Nathaniel, Meisje, Wyatt, Kaitlyn and Mallory; two step grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher; 6 great grandchildren; and 6 step grandchildren.
Other survivors include one sister, Ava McCrone of Bellville, Ohio, as well as extended family, including her church family, and friends.
Mom spent the majority of her life caring for others, young and old. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and “Granny” to many. She was a faithful member of her church and fed hundreds of people through her kitchen ministry. She touched countless lives in so many ways and never met a stranger. Her love for family was so strong; she spent many hours coordinating family reunions. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Wade Muncy and Brother J. D. Hackney presiding. Burial will follow in Little Mary Cemetery. Greg Brooks and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
