Anna Mae Collier White, of Morehead, was born on March 2, 1941, and died Monday, January 15, 2024, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. White in 1992--they had been married 36 years; her parents, Charles and Pauline Sturgill Collier; two sons, Robert E. White in 2014 and Carl Wayne White in 2022; two sisters, Josephine Donley and Geraldine Jent; three brothers, Shaler, Woodrow Gilbert, and James Arthur Collier; twin great grandsons; and one great-great granddaughter.
She is survived by four children, Geraldine and David Haney of Morehead, Ronnie White of Morehead, Donnie White of Sandy Hook, and Debbie and Dennis Poe of Morehead; six grandchildren, Wade Lee Wages II (Kayla), Michael White (Sharon), Ashley Barber (Derrick), Jeffery White, Debra Stinson (Brent), and Paula White (Morgan); 12 great grandchildren, Jordan, Tori, Austin, Kaylor, Liam, Brandon, Casey Paul, Lacy, Rylan, Lucas, Noah, and Baylor; one great-great grandson, Andrew Wade; one sister, Wilma Combs of Happy, Kentucky; a special caregiver, Ginny Skaggs of Olive Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann, as she like to be called, was devoted to her family. She loved them all dearly and loved their get-togethers. She loved to read, working her puzzle books, and watching TV, especially Hour of Harvest with Sister Margaret watching it every night from 7 to 9. Most of all, she loved reading her Bible every day. Ann was unable to get out and go to church, but she was ready to go.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Lansford May and Pastor Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wade Lee Wages, Michael White, Brent Stinson, Dennis Poe, Jordan Wages, Philip White, and Austin Wages. Honorary pallbearers: Casey Barber and Brandon Barber.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
