Angela Dawn Roberts was born June 22, 1968, in Morehead, Kentucky, and passed away at her home in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 18, 2023, while under Hospice care for cardiac issues.
She is the daughter of Teresa Duff Roberts and the late Norman Lee Roberts (2006) of Morehead, Kentucky.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her sister Amanda Gaye Roberts (2004), her maternal grandparents Dewey J. Duff (2013) and Sophia A. Duff (2016), as well as her paternal grandparents Norman N. Roberts (2000) and Margie S. Roberts (2008), and her uncles Christopher Duff (1990), and John Stewart “Jay” Roberts (2015).
She is survived by her mother, Teresa Duff Roberts of Morehead, KY; her brothers Aaron Stewart (Carla Michelle) Roberts of Morehead, KY and Adam Lee (Leslie) Roberts of Greenville, SC; her nieces and nephews Christopher Aaron Roberts and Sydney Lauren Roberts of Morehead, KY, Andrew Lee Roberts, Matthew Graham Roberts, Hannah Blair Roberts, and Sarah Renee Roberts of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Joan and Wendall Bush, Carol and Roger Combs, Marcia Barker, Judy Lambert, John and Gail Duff, Jennifer and David Bolt, William and Deanna Roberts, and Paul and Mary Roberts; numerous cousins; and special friends.
Angela attended Rowan County Schools and graduated from North Bullitt High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and Math from Centre College in 1990. After obtaining a Master of Arts in Teaching from Morehead State University in 2006, she began her teaching career. Angela touched the lives of countless students in Powell County, Bullitt County, Jefferson County and overseas in Kazakhstan where she taught at The Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Biology and Chemistry in Pavlodar. Prior to teaching Angela was an Accounting Specialist for Cascade and Nucor where she fell in love with Canada after traveling there for work.
Angie had a love of literature, crafts, nurturing, and deep conversations with students, friends and family. Her beautiful smile and dimples brought light to all around her. With joy, she will be remembered for her love, peace and laughter by all she touched in her lifetime.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Northcutt &Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Father Paul Prabell, Deacon Dan Connell and Pastor Matthew Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
