Amy Lynn Pettit

Amy Lynn Pettit, age 43, of KY Hwy 801 North, Morehead, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the University of Louisville Hospital after an extended illness.

Amy was born July 28, 1979, in Morehead, and is the daughter of Paul Pettit of Morehead and the late Vergie Mae Tackett Pettit, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.

In addition to her father, Amy will be lovingly remembered by one sister, Rebecca Fraley and husband Donald Wayne and their son Connor of Morehead; four half-sisters, Melissa Sue Thompson of Owingsville, Norene Pettit, Paulette Keeton, and Angie LeMay, all of Morehead; three nephews, JK LeMay, Dalton Richards, and Dillon Richards; three nieces, Sonya LeMay, Ashley Hale, and Heather Hoskins, and devoted extended family members.

Others to cherish her memory include special friends, Mary Beth Greeley and her children, Ashley Roessler and Taylor Phillips, all of Morehead and Mona Spivey, also of Morehead, as well as her many friends and co-workers at Family Dollar Distribution Center.

Amy graduated from Rowan County Senior High School and was an employee of Family Dollar Distribution in customer service and accounting for more than twenty years. She attended Better Life Church. 

Amy enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, and displaying a positive attitude.  She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed encouraging everyone she met.  She loved being with family and friends and will be greatly missed and always remembered with love.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Kidd and Pastor Bobby Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Dalton Richards, Dillon Richards, JK LeMay, Zachary Arnett, Todd Arnett, James Arnett, Toby Pettit, and Blake Pettit.

Visitation for Amy will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
