Alexander "Alex" Wituszynski Obituary

Alexander “Alex” Wituszynski, age 91, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, KY, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020, at his residence. 

 

Alex was born January 20, 1929, in Watervliet, New York, a son of the late Nicholas and Tessie Wituszynski.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his six brothers:  Johnnie, Stanley, Frankie, Leon, Charlie, and Henry.

 

On July 19, 1953, Alex was united in marriage to Hildreth “Faye” Wagoner Wituszynski, and together they spent most of their life in Arizona and New York.  In 2016, they moved to Morehead and enjoyed living in the country.  Faye passed away May 18, 2019, after 65 years of marriage.

 

Alex is survived by sister-in-law Marcella Wagoner Fannin and husband Harold with whom he resided the last three years; special niece and caregiver, Jane Fannin Williams and husband Ryan and children, Kara, Bryannah, and “Bubba,” all of Morehead; sister-in-law, Grace Wagoner of Morehead; brothers-in-law Ora Wagoner and wife Annie of Morehead and Don Johnson of Paintsville; other nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. 

 

Alex retired from General Electric as a laboratory technician and was of the Catholic faith. 

 

At his request, a private graveside service and interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Arturo Molina officiating.
