A. C. Rigsby Obituary

A. C. Rigsby, age 69, of Ebon Road, Wellington, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born August 12, 1956, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Willard Rigsby and Maxine Marie Lewis Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathaleen “Kathy” Back Rigsby, and one brother, Larry Rigsby.

A.C. is survived by two brothers, Leon Rigsby of Frenchburg and Ira Rigsby of Morgan County; one sister, Shirley Patrick of Morgan County; two sisters-in-law, Media and Delbert Fairchild of Xenia, Ohio, and Connie and Tony Bowman of Wellington; brothers-in-law, Estill and Jennifer Back and William Ray Back, all of Wellington; two special nieces whom he thought of as his own children, Tina Rogers and Becky Caudill, both of Wellington; ; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as other extended family members and friends.

He was a self-employed logger and a member of Frenchburg First Church of God. A.C. enjoyed deer and ginseng hunting, playing cards, listening to music, and taking his weekly trips to Walmart. Most of all, he loved going to church and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

At his request, there will be no visitation. A graveside inurnment will take place at a later date at Back Cemetery.
