Wrella Jane Gillespie Reynolds, age 98, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at her residence. Born June 20, 1918, at Frenchburg in Menifee County, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Lura B. Williams Gillespie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death seven brothers and sisters, and a stepdaughter, Margaret Rose Burns. Her husband of more than 50 years, Ivan Lee Reynolds, Sr., passed away on July 26, 2001. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by one stepson, Ivan Lee Reynolds, Jr., and wife Virginia of Clearfield; three step grandchildren, Terry Sue Reynolds, Donna Grey and Len, and Robert Bruce Burns; three step great grandchildren, Drew and wife Amy, Ryan, and Will Grey; three brothers, William Gillespie of Sharpsburg, Charles Gillespie of Lebanon, Ohio, and Bryan Gillespie of Middletown, Ohio; one sister, Lorena Pettit of Sharpsburg; and many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. She also leaves behind her devoted caregivers, Nellie Spence, Julie Fancher, and Almeda Brown. Almeda became Wrella's closest friend and confidant, sharing many church stories, Bible discussions and special stories about Almeda's granddaughter, Lillian or 'Little Britches' as Wrella affectionately called her. Mrs. Reynolds was a homemaker, a former hairdresser in Michigan, and a former employee of the Sundry Store and Cowden's. She and Ivan were active in the First Church of God as long as they were able, singing in quartets and in the choir. After his passing, she continued as long as her health permitted. Funeral services will be conducted 11a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Drew Grey, Ryan Grey, William Grey, Larry Griggs, Millard Pettit III, and Bill Shely. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
