Wilma Faye Smith Crager, age 78, of Partin Street, Clearfield, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019, at her residence.
Born December 11, 1940, in DeQueen, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Custer E. Smith and Ethel Louise Cothren Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Dewell Smith and Charles Custer Smith; three sisters, Margie Moore, Fern Parker, and Midge Harrison; and two sisters-in-law, Georgia Crager and Norma Cloyd.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louie Isadore "Sonny" Crager, on October 30, 1998.
Mrs. Crager is survived by two daughters, Cindy Crager and Tammy Crager, and one son, Louie "Sonny" Crager II and wife Cathy, all of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Tiffany Crager, Beau Crager and wife Amber, Dakota Crager, Samantha Copley, Jeffery Copley, and Sabrina Copley; one great grandson, James Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker, a former waitress at the Eagle s Nest and Mom's Kitchen, and a former cook at Morehead Grade School. Mrs. Crager was a devout Christian and faithful member of the Johnson First Church of God for 28 years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking pies and cakes, canning, sewing, taking care of children, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Crager dedicated her life to serving God and caring for her family.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ben Furman officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery, McBrayer Road, Clearfield.
Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be children she baby sat, Matthew Epperhart, Amanda McCoy, Bucky Catron, Allie Kerns, Adrianna Kerns, Zack Highley, and Emmy Highley.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johnson First Church of God Building Fund, 590 Cranston Road, Morehead, KY 40351.
