Wilma -Jean- Gilkison, age 67, wife of Robert -Bobby- Gilkison, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born February 23, 1942, in Morehead, Kentucky, daughter of the late Clella and Gladys Kidd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jack L. Barber, Jr. Mrs. Gilkson was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a homemaker. She enjoyed making quilts, reading and traveling. In addition to her husband of 48 years, survivors include two daughters, Roberta J. Gilkison of Benica, California, and Saundra Nathanson and husband Jace of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Charles Kidd of Richmond, Indiana; and one sister, Verna Trent of Morehead, Kentucky. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gilkison was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary McQuain and the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers: Mitchell Kidd, Randy Poston, Mark Poston, Danny Reynolds, Jack Carter, Pete Hamm, Danny Stevens, Jack Roe, David Sexton, and Ted Trent. Honorary Pallbearers: J. C. Jolley, Gene Hamm, Roy Boyd, Donny Reynolds, Lonzie Wright, Jim Moore, Joe White, and Cleo Sloan. Visitation for Wilma -Jean- Gilkison will be 5 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, May 16, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, May 17, 2009, at 2 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
