Obituary

William -Wes- Moore, age 91, of Johnson Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010, at St. Joseph in Mt. Sterling. Born October 12, 1918, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Roger and Ethel Toy Moore. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen Gay Wells Moore; two daughters, Judy (Johnny) Jefferson and Sherry Walker; two sons, Richard (Brenda) Moore and Doug (Judy) Moore; and one sister, Betty Adams, all of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. He was a retired Hobart Corporation employee, farmer, and member of the First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at the First Church of God with Pastor Jeff Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers: Frankie Carr, Jimmy Robinson, Nathaniel Tate Ellis, Gary Lawson, Dustin Vance, and Michael Ray Moore. Honorary Pallbearers: Marvin Foley, John C. Toy, Harold Staton, John Clay, Clay Moore, Richard Myers, Gerald Moore, and Phillip Adams. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Sunday, June 27, 2010, 5-8 pm, First Church of God, Mt. Sterling Funeral: Monday, June 28, 2010, 10:30 am, First Church of God, Mt. Sterling Interment: Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling
