Obituary

William Billey McKenzie, age 75, of Farmers, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. He was born May 20, 1935, at Cogswell, Kentucky, in Rowan County, and was the son of the late Andy T. (Bug) McKenzie and Oda Carpenter McKenzie. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mitchell McKenzie, and one sister, Kathie Fraley. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Hogge McKenzie; four daughters, Jennifer Capps of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, Cassandra McKenzie of Morehead, Kentucky, Sandra McKenzie and Melissa McKenzie; seven grandchildren, Racheal, Michael, William, Megan, Braxton, Chassity, and Molly Mae; and four great grandchildren. Billey is also survived by two brothers, John Paul McKenzie of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Ralph McKenzie of Kenova, West Virginia; five sisters, Bonnie McDaniel of Clearfield, Kentucky, Virginia Hall of Morehead, Kentucky, Helen McCall of Tampa, Florida, Carmie McKenzie of Morehead, Kentucky, and Louise Hensley of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Billey was a retired logger and enjoyed working on cars. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce McDaniel, Jimmy McKenzie, Chris Paddleford, Jimmy Capps, William Neal, and Michael Townsend. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Wednesday, April 20, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: ew Alfrey Cemetery
