William Hubert Counts, Jr., 73, of Morehead, passed away on May 25, 2011, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Bill was born January 30, 1938, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, and was the son of the late William Hubert Counts, Sr., and Geneva Shelton Counts. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Roe Counts of Morehead; two daughters, Lori Crouch and husband Jim of Salt Lick, Kentucky, and Carol Enderle and husband Shawn of Lexington, Kentucky; one son, Billy Counts and wife Andrea of Lexington, Kentucky; and six beautiful grandchildren, Boston and Brooklyn Enderle; Dan, Emily and Katie Crouch; and Anna Counts. One brother, Richard Counts and his wife Gail of Meridianville, Alabama, also survive. Bill was a graduate of and long-time supporter of Morehead State University. Following his retirement from the Department of Defense after 20 years of service, he taught at Morehead State University, Northern Virginia Community College, and at the high school level. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, and volunteering. He had been a member of the MSU Men-s Club, Rotary Club, and Optimist Club. A member of Morehead Church of Christ for over 20 years, most recently Bill was a member of Salt Lick Church of God. Visitation will be held from 5 - 9 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
