William Thomas -Bill- Romans, age 92, of Shopes Creek Road, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011, at the V. A. Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born May 5, 1919, at Stinson, Kentucky, in Carter County, he was the son of the late Jessie C. Carter Romans and Mazie Lee Wilson Romans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mindy Ethel Yates Romans, who passed away May 25, 2005, and three sons, Virgil Thomas Romans, Darrell Wayne Romans, and Clarence Edwin Romans. Bill is survived by three sons, Donald Romans of West Liberty, Kentucky, Junior Romans of Mouthcard, Kentucky, and Eddie Romans of Hillsboro, Kentucky; three daughters, Barbara Howard of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Freida Fowler of Joshua, Texas, and Carolyn Sue Romans of Irvine, Kentucky; and one brother, Earl Romans of Irvine, Kentucky. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Bill was a retired road construction heavy equipment operator and an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Willis Tolliver and Elder Ira Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Yates Cemetery in Greenbrier, Virginia. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Wednesday, June 29, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: thursday, June 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. Interment: Yates Cemetery, Greenbrier, VA
