William F. "Bill" McKee, age 91, of Oakwood, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, passed away August 22, 2017. He was born June 20, 1926, in Grange City, to the late Perry and Leona (Jones) McKee. He was a proud Navy Veteran of WW II and in November 2015, he and his son, Scott were participants on the Honor Flight. After his retirement from Frigidaire/Delco Air in April 1976 after more than 30 years of service, he moved to Morehead with his wife, Edna, and resided there for 37 years. Bill enjoyed gardening and grew the best tomatoes around. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; twin sister, Anna Mae; brother, Pete; daughter, Glenna; and granddaughter, Andrea. Bill is survived by son, Perry Scott McKee and wife, Carol; daughter, Betty Crowder and husband, David; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; former wife and dear friend, Evelyn, and a host of friends. He lived in Brookdale Oakwood Assisted Living for the last four years where he remained active and made many friends. Graveside services and burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, Hillsboro, Kentucky, with full military honors by W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Honor Flight in Bill's memory.
