William Armstrong "Bill" Davis, 86, of KY Hwy 801 South, Morehead, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born November 5, 1931, at his home in Flemingsburg, he was the son of the late Roy Mildred Cochran Graham and William Eugene Davis. His loving wife of 51 years, Margaret Robinson Cook Davis, whom he wed December 20, 1952, preceded him in death on January 3, 2004. Bill is survived by three loving children: William Armstrong Davis, Jr. and wife Paula of Country Club, Missouri, Elizabeth Owsley Davis Reffitt and husband Mickey of Morehead, and Robinson Cook Davis of Plano, Texas; three beloved grandchildren: Samantha Cook Davis Roberson and husband Eli, Kristina Elizabeth Davis Skaggs and husband Jeremy, and Robinson Allen Cook Davis; and three cherished great grandchildren: Olivia Margaret Skaggs, William Elisha Roberson, and Benjamin Armstrong Roberson, as well as many dear friends. Before moving to Morehead in 1968, Bill had been an employee of Montgomery Ward and Prudential Insurance, both in Chicago, and owned and operated the Kentuckian Bakery in Flemingsburg. He owned the Eagles Nest Restaurant in Morehead for several years and retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways in the 1980s. Bill and Margaret enjoyed entertaining in their home, playing Duplicate Bridge, and spending time with family and friends at Park Lake. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking and was an eager traveler. Bill, a founding member of the Morehead Theatre Guild, was immersed in community theatre and acted in and directed several plays over the years. He also enjoyed music, especially the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra (CRSO) in recent years. Bill was a longtime member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 7 p.m. with the Rev.
