Walter Ernest Haggard, age 57, of Morehead, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born June 10, 1965, in San Francisco, California, he is the son of Delma J. Erwin Haggard of Morehead and the late Howard B. Haggard, who passed away October 17, 2013.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Julie A. Haggard (Kevin Luke) of Fort Worth, Texas; one aunt, Jewell Beaudry of Hilliard, Ohio; two uncles, Albert Erwin of Blanchester, Ohio, and Karl Erwin of Dayton, Ohio, as well as extended family and friends.

Walter was a 1982 graduate of Rowan County Senior, where he played the clarinet and tuba in the band. He was a former Maloney's, Heck's and Sealmaster employee and manager at Days Inn.  He was a lifetime movie buff; enjoyed all kinds of music; and as an avid reader, especially enjoyed mysteries.  Walter was also an accomplished photographer who enjoyed capturing all kinds of activities spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Bowen Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Brent George, Chris Caldwell, Ronnie Bradley, and Joe Erwin.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
