Wallace Doris Brown, age 85, of Brown Ridge, Morehead, Kentucky, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at the Ridgeway Manor Nursing Home in Owingsville. He was born November 30, 1923, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Thomas Presley Brown and Jessie Fraley Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Gary Brown of Poplar Grove, Illinois, and Larry Brown of Bloomington, Indiana; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Seldon Brown and Orville Brown, both of Dunbar, West Virginia. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was employed by U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Fannin-Brown Cemetery on Brown Ridge. Full military rites will be conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
