Virginia Omega Fannin Lambert, age 67, of Dark Hollow Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born February 29, 1940, in Elliott County, Kentucky, to the late Clell and Nancy Simmons Fannin. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marissa Dawn Lambert May, on April 12, 1994. She is survived by her husband, Edward Eugene Lambert, whom she married July 21, 1963; nine daughters, Ruby Campbell and Crystal Roe, both of Clearfield, Kentucky, Vanessa Gilliam, Melissa Warren, Jessica May, and Stephanie Thompson, all of Morehead, Kentucky, Madge Earles of Urban, Ohio, Gail Ianni of West Land, Michigan, and Karen Brown of Belleville, Michigan; two sons, Wayne Lambert and Donnie Lambert, both of Clearfield, Kentucky; 31 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Herman Fannin of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Paul Fannin of Spring Lake, North Carolina, and Harold Fannin of Morehead, Kentucky; four sisters, Ruby Dixon of Springfield, Ohio, Madge Nantz, Nancy Cooley and Clara Taylor, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lambert was a former employee of the Dairy Mart, Holiday Inn, and Cowdens Mfg. Company. She was a member of the House of Prayer. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Storm officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Delmar Hall, Ronnie Fannin, Ryan Williams, Mike Cooley, and Ben Schumaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Grandsons Ethan Lambert, Derek Fannin, Shane Henderson, Adam Henderson, Todd Pennington, Anthony Thompson, Cody Roe, Zachary Thompson, and Jason Wright.
