Virginia Lee Dickerson Key, age 87, of Cave Run Manor, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at her residence. Born October 12, 1927, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late George and Cora Lee Black Dickerson. Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Key; one son, Donald Lee Key; one daughter, Donna Malone Lewis; and one sister, Geraldine Ockerman. She is survived by two grandchildren, Shannon Malone and Derek Malone, both of Morehead; one brother, Brooks Dickerson of Arlington, Virginia; extended family; and friends. Mrs. Key graduated from Breckinridge Training School and in 2001 retired from Morehead State University as secretary for the Reading Center. She enjoyed her flowers, being a homemaker, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Morehead United Methodist Church.
