Virda Junior Trent, age 71, of Trent Ridge, Morehead, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014, at his residence. Born September 16, 1943, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Jason and Edith Matthews Trent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest and Ivan Trent, and five sisters, Clona Mickelson, Reba Jones, Nellie Dehart, Arizona Black, and Jewell Jarrells. His wife, Lovedia Smith Trent, passed away on July 25, 2006. Virda is survived by two sons and four daughters, Ricky Trent, Jason Trent, Bonnie Baker, Donna Puckett, Rhonda Dehart, and Vicky Smedley, all of Morehead; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Vircil Trent and Vernon Trent of Morehead; and one sister, Christine Parsons of Sandy Hook. Private graveside services will be held Thursday at the Trent Cemetery.
