Vircle Edwin Trent

Vircle Edwin Trent, age 80, of US 60 East, Morehead, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born August 3, 1945, in Elliottville, KY, a son of the late Jason Trent and Susan Edith Matthews Trent. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Jordan Trent, who passed away June 26, 2010; 11 siblings; and one great-great granddaughter, Jayla Brown.

Vircle is survived by two daughters, Crystal Barker and Ronnie of Morehead, KY, and Marlene Holbrook (Tracey) of Sandy Hook, KY; 10 grandchildren, Casey Lewis, Heather Birkbeck, Chadisty Jent, Dallas Wright, Breanna Holbrook, Cody Holbrook, Ashley Beamon, Tammy Barker, Ronnie Barker, and Samantha Closson; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends to mourn his passing.

Vircle retired from Homer Gregory Lumber Company in Clearfield, KY, after years of dedicated work. He loved being outdoors and when he was able “in his younger years” enjoyed raising a garden, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Brother Timmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Jason Trent Cemetery on Trent Ridge in Rowan County.

Pallbearers will be Dallas Wright, Ronnie Barker, R J Beamon, Casey Lewis, Ethan Jent and Donnie Birkbeck.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at 12 noon at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
