Violet Katherine Sturgill Littleton, age 88, of Apex, North Carolina, formerly of New Richmond, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at Cary Health and Rehab in Cary, North Carolina. Born May 16, 1925, in Haldeman, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Laura Matilda Hamilton Sturgill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Sturgill, and one sister, Vivian Margaret Sturgill Littleton. Her husband, Shirley Allen Littleton, preceded her in death on September 14, 1994, and a daughter, Joyce Carole Littleton Johnson Farrar, on November 15, 2012. Mrs. Littleton is survived by one son, Michael Littleton of Apex, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was a retired beautician and a member of the Cincinnati Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Lasserre Bradley, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
