Viola Mae Wescott Goodman, age 79, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born February 24, 1944, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lela Lykins Wescott.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clayton Goodman on March 31, 2010; two brothers, Donny Ray Wescott and Hubert Wescott; and three sisters, Loretta Brittingham, Verna Stidham, and Elizabeth Ratliff.

Mrs. Goodman is survived by her two daughters, Bridgett Fultz and husband Scotty and Marcia Glover and husband Danny; one son, Brian Goodman, all of Morehead; three grandchildren, Tiffany Fultz, Jadon Fultz, and Brady Goodman; two great grandchildren, Rylie Fultz and Ava Tate; and extended family and friends.

She retired after dedicating 33 years of service as an environmental services employee for St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.  Viola was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed working in her flowers and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating.  Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
