Obituary

Villie J. -Tiny- Nickell Howard, age 81, of Crix Ridge Spur, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born March 27, 1929, in Rowan County, Kentucky daughter of the late Norman and Ara Lewis Nickell. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Woodney Nickell, Hildress Nickell, and Norman Nickell, Jr. Tiny is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Millard and Barbara DeHart and Dowl and Angie Slone, all of Morehead, Kentucky; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Donnie Smith of Morehead, Kentucky, Charlotte and Tim Trent of Morehead, Kentucky, Villie and Ray McDaniel of Louisville, Kentucky, and Rena and Lloyd Hiatt of Grayson, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include 3 brothers, Glennis Nickell of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jessie Nickell of Alma, Arkansas, and Billy Nickell of West Virginia; 4 sisters, Emogene Shroyer, Kaye Worley, Marlene Mollett, and Sherry Watson, all of Columbus, Ohio; many nieces and nephews, other family, and friends. Tiny was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brownie Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray McDaniel, Tim Underwood, Larry Thornsberry, Douglas Thornsberry, Dalton Thornsberry, and Leslie Slone. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Thursday, January 6, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, January 6, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Crix Cemetery
