Vernita Bradley Becker, 96, had a peaceful passing on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at her home in Washington, Georgia. Born in Rowan County, she traveled with her husband Gentry Becker to Texas. The majority of her family stayed in Kentucky and she wanted to return to them. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Herbert and Hattie Bradley, as well as one sister Corine Bradley Castle (Morehead) and four brothers: Mervill (Lexington), Earl (Washington, GA), Ova (Frankfort), and Bill (her beloved baby brother "Billy"-Morehead). She is survived by 7 nieces and two nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Sardis Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
