Obituary

Vaniel Anderson -Van- Gee, age 73, of State Highway 174, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. He was born April 19, 1937, in Carter County, Kentucky, son of the late Andy and Nano Estelle Underwood Gee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty McDaniel; three brothers, Eugene, Tennis, and Daniel Gee; and one son, Wesley Gee. Van is survived by his wife, Wilma Leadingham Gee of Olive Hill; two sons, James Anderson Gee of Morehead and Allen Dewayne Gee of Olive Hill; five daughters, Donna Sue (Matt) Caudill of Morehead, Linda Ann (Jeff) Waugh, Rita Kay (James) Bond, Lisa (Tony) Puckett, and Rebecca Lynn Gee, all of Olive Hill; two brothers, Roy Gee of Olive Hill and Phillip Michael Gee of Newton Falls, Ohio; two sisters, Freda Clark of Olive Hill and Ruby Schramm of Wilmington, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Van was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a former employee of Lawson Trucking, and a Carter County school bus driver for 15 years. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Gee Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers will be Shannon Porter, Josh Porter, Jackie Brown, Kevin McGlone, Jason Caudill, and James Bond. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Friday, January 21, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Gee Cemetery, Carter County
