Vangelene Sloan Dehart, age 79, of Seas Branch, Morehead, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling. She was born April 10, 1935, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Buddy and Edna Lowe Sloan. Her husband of 62 years, Cledith E. Dehart, passed away March 21, 2013. Mrs. Dehart is survived by one son, Billy Joe Dehart and wife Jeanie of Morehead; two daughters, Kathelene 'Kathy' Pelfrey and husband Andy of Clearfield and Della May Porter and husband Donald of Rowan County; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Joey and Kayla Porter, Brandon and Tiffany Pelfrey, and Shay Dehart; and one great granddaughter, Cheyanne Bond. Vangelene was a loving wife, who traveled with her husband and supported his ministry for more than 60 years, and a devoted mother and mamaw. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Oscar Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloan Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Billy Joe Dehart, Bobby Dehart, Donald Porter, Allen Johnson, Rob Hamilton, and Michael Mullins.
