Obituary

Troy Lee Caldwell, age 54, of Castle Drive, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from injuries sustained on I-64 in Bath County.

Born May 24, 1970, in Troy, Ohio, he is the son of Gilbert Caldwell of Clearfield and the late Nancy Jean Muse Caldwell, who preceded him in death on February 6, 2020. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sammantha Caldwell.

In addition to his father, Troy is survived by his wife, Robin Adams Caldwell, whom he married February 8, 2020; son, Troy Lee Caldwell, Jr. of Fleming County; two daughters, Desiree Lykins and husband Chris of Hillsboro and Lakyn Bush and husband Isiah of Morehead; grandchildren, Raylee Michelle "Peanut" Lykins, Marilyn Caldwell, Isabella Caldwell, Elizabeth Gossett, Thora Caldwell, Lagtha Caldwell, Rayland Bush, Annalia Bush, Asher Bush, and Amareigh Bush.

Other survivors include two brothers, Kevin Caldwell of Morehead and Travis Caldwell of Clearfield; one sister, Heather Caldwell of Clearfield; his best friend, Jerry Cantrell of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; other extended family; and a multitude of friends.

Troy was a 1989 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School. He was a towing operator for more than 30 years.  He was currently working for Jerry's Towing & Roadside Assistance where he had been the last five years. Troy previously worked many years at Eddie's Shell.

He loved to work and enjoyed collecting hot wheels and baseball cards, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Joe Riley and Brother Robert Kidd officiating.  Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Jerry Cantrell, Gary Lanham, Nick Lawson, Jerry Muse, Kevin Caldwell, Travis Caldwell, Chris Lykins, Isiah Bush, and Dewayne Kiser.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
