Treda 'Leann' Tackett, age 65, of McCullough Court, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born February 12, 1947, in Logan, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ernest Arlie Tackett and Lois Johnson Tackett Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lois Adkins, on January 1, 2009. Leann is survived by one son, Jimmy Watson and wife Sherry of Morehead, Kentucky; special niece, Samantha Gibson and husband John of Greenup, Kentucky; three special great nephews, Jamie, Thomas, and Joseph Gibson; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Leann was a former floor manager for Dykes Tobacco Warehouse and former member of the Rowan County Rescue Squad. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Bruce Wages, Paul Cox, Jim Tom Trent, Derek Malone, John Gibson, and Mike Trent. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
