Obituary

Clyde Thomas "Tommy" Fouch, 82, passed away at his home on May 2, 2026. A lifelong resident of Morehead, Tommy was the son of Burl and Merle Moore Fouch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy.

Tommy graduated from Rowan County High School in 1961 and followed in his father's footsteps as a heavy equipment operator. During his career of nearly 50 years, he was regarded as one of the best dozer operators in eastern Kentucky. He took great pride in his work, which included many large-scale projects, such as Cave Run Lake, I-64, Coalfield Expressway, and Industrial Parkway.

Tommy was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather, and his greatest happiness was spending time with his family.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan Black Fouch; two daughters, Denise Spencer and Julie (Ron) Fannin, and one son, Brian (Jennifer) Fouch; seven grandchildren, Ty (Justice) Spencer, Lindsey (Josh) Holbrook, Andrew (Bailey) Fouch, Abbey (Cameron) Garner, Kensey (Aaron) Russell, Alec Fouch, and Laney Mays; five great-grandchildren, Cami, Liam, Maeve, Bowen, and Tate; and one nephew, Billy Bruce Fouch.

At Tommy's request, a private graveside service will be held. Pastor Joey Damron will officiate, and Ty Spencer, Josh Holbrook, Andrew Fouch, Alec Fouch, Cameron Garner, Ron Fannin, Richard Gamble, and Brian Fouch will serve as pallbearers.

Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351 is caring for arrangements.
