Timothy "Tim" Wayne Helterbrand, age 69, of Clearfield Street, Morehead, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.
Born February 8, 1955, in Xenia, Ohio, he was a son of the late Clyde Bruce Helterbrand and Barbara James Compton Helterbrand. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Helterbrand and Michael Harold "Mike" Helterbrand.
Tim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Stevens Helterbrand, whom he married September 16, 1978; one daughter, Amanda (Jason) Crisp of Morehead; and a very special grandson, Tyler Crisp.
Other survivors include four brothers, Mark (Dixie) Helterbrand, Nicholas (Teresa) Helterbrand, Jonathan Helterbrand, all of Muses Mills and Joseph (Melissa) Helterbrand of Morehead; three sisters, Deborah (David) Martinat of Morehead, Rebekah (Harold) Montgomery of Muses Mills and Rachel Lashbrooke of Morehead; sister-in-law, Marsha Helterbrand of Muses Mills; a host of nieces and nephews; other family; and many friends.
He graduated from Fleming County High School and received his bachelor's degree in education and history from Morehead State University. Tim was a retired master plumber for Patriot Plumbing in Winchester. He was a former employee for Perks and a long-time employee for Pack's, Inc.
Tim was a huge follower of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, a dedicated UK basketball fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandson playing baseball.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Doug Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tyler Crisp, Jason Crisp, Junior Stevens, Harold Montgomery, Lawrence DeWitt, and Jason DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
